Chris Novak is a registered U.S. patent attorney focusing on U.S.
patent preparation and prosecution, licensing, due diligence, and
litigation support.
Chris has drafted and prosecuted United States patent applications for
companies ranging from startups to NASDAQ-100 multinational
corporations including companies such as Morphics Technology
(telecom), Dot Wireless (wireless), Infinera (photonics networking and
ICs), SONY, 3COM (networking), VLSI (semiconductors), and SGI
(semiconductor) in technology areas including electrical,
biotechnical, and mechanical (e.g., memory, computer applications,
VLSI, DSP, telecom, networking, s/w, optics, algorithms,
semiconductor, biotechnology, etc.) Chris has also worked as in-house
counsel for corporations such as Integrated Device Technology and
Morphics where he directed and strategized patent and TM prosecution
and litigation programs.
Prior to entering law practice, Chris worked as an electrical engineer
at Delco-Remy, as a composite structural engineer and fuel systems
engineer at LTV aerospace, and as a project engineer at Sundstrand.
Chris Novak earned the following degrees: Juris Doctorate (J.D.)
degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee WI (Am Jur and CALI
award); Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (digital signal
processing) from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CA (90+% percentile GRE);
and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (structural and
stress engineering) from Marquette University (GM scholar, Tau Beta Pi
and Pi Tau Sigma honorary academic engineering fraternities).
Currently, Chris is completing an Associate of Science in Biological
Science.
Chris is a member of the United States Patent Bar, and the State Bars
of Wisconsin and Colorado, and has been licensed under the Multistate
Jurisdiction Program in California.
