Raj Abhyanker, PC was formed in August 2005 by Silicon Valley patent attorney, Raj Abhyanker. Having developed strong intellectual property law skills at leading U.S. law firms, Raj felt that clients can be better served through a firm designed from scratch that has a local presence in countries where innovation is happening most rapidly. The vision of the firm is to be able to offer high-quality patent and trademark preparation and prosecution services through face-to-face disclosure meetings between attorneys and inventors.

Leveraging the firm's core competency in intellectual property and strong client base, Raj Abhyanker, PC expanded the firm's scope of practice into a complementary technology transactions practice. As of January 2009, the firm provides representation in a variety of technology transactions: Entity Formations, Venture Fund and Angel-round financings, Mergers & Acquisitions, Strategic Alliances and Corporate Partnerships, Cross-Border Transactions as well as related executive compensation, labor and employment matters.

The firm currently has more than 120 clients, 25 attorneys and offices in Mountain View California, in Beijing China, and in Bangalore India.
