Jacob Chapman is a corporate and intellectual property attorney at Raj Abhyanker P.C. Jacob’s practice centers around venture capital fundraising, emerging companies, licensing, franchising, and patent and trademark transactional matters. Prior to joining LegalForce RAPC Worldwide, Jacob was an attorney at Cooley Godward Kronish LLP in Palo Alto, where he counseled clients with regards to venture capital fund formation, the launching of new technology companies, private placements, and commercial negotiations. Jacob has participated in the raising of more than $500 million dollars in private capital.
Jacob has also served as the primary attorney representing NextGen Partners, LLC, an organization of non-partner level venture capital professionals in Silicon Valley, and as an in house counsel for a leading gourmet food brand Vom Fass USA.
Jacob holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California at Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law. Jacob was the Managing Editor of the Berkeley Business Law Journal, and won the American Jurisprudence Award in Securities Regulation, as well as the Prosser Price in Law, Science and Biotechnology. In addition, Jacob holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
