Mahalakshmi Raman is a senior legal associate at Sharma Abhyanker LLP. She heads the firm’s docketing and paralegal department and manages intellectual property application filings with Patent and Trademark Offices in the United States and other countries. She manages the client intellectual property portfolios and interacts with multinationals and venture backed clients on post filing, international filing, and prosecution deadlines etc. She also provides periodical status updates to clients and assists them on various procedures of intellectual property rights with the support from licensed patent and trademark attorneys.
Prior to joining the firm, Mahalakshmi worked as a litigator and represented clients in the High Court of Karnataka.
Mahalakshmi holds a Bachelor Degree in law from Bangalore University with highest rank in direct and indirect taxation. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in intellectual property from National Law School of India University, Bangalore and a Post Graduate Diploma in cyber laws from NALSAR, Hyderabad, where she secured 4th rank. She is licensed to practice in India.
