Mr. Sun’s is a Partner at Raj Abhyanker PC’s Beijing operations.   Mr. Mingyan Sun focuses on intellectual property (especially patent) prosecution, litigation and enforcement in China. Mr. Sun’s patent expertise covers electrical and electronic engineering, including computer hardware and software, telecommunications, information processing technology and microelectronics.

Mr. Sun practiced in Beijing EAST IP Law Firm as a patent associate for three years and then in Baker & McKenzie, one of the most prestigious law firms in the world, as a patent consultant for two years. Mr. Sun prosecuted hundreds of patent applications on behalf of various world famous companies. He also advised some multinational companies on contentious (such as patent invalidation, litigation and enforcement) or non-contentious (such as free-to-operate analysis, patent transfer and license, and IP due diligence) IP matters.

Mr. Sun obtained the bachelor and master degrees in electronics from Peking University. He was admitted as PRC patent attorney in 2004. Mr. Sun is proficient in Chinese (native) and English.
