I am an attorney based in Palo Alto, CA who specializes in intellectual property, contract, and corporate matters. I take pride in being able to assist my clients, whether they be start ups or multinational brand-oriented businesses, to protect their ideas and help their business grow.
I help clients file their trademarks and copyrights to protect their ideas and brands, draft employment contracts, End User License Agreements (EULA), privacy policies, terms of service, distribution agreements, vendor agreements, and incorporate entities for favorable tax treatment. Through this full circle approach, I enjoy being able to ensure my clients’ businesses are adequately protected in their endeavors from inception and helping them grow while ensuring compliance with state and local laws. I take time to ensure prompt follow up because when an issue arises, I want my clients to know that they can depend on me for all their legal needs.
Prior to joining LegalForce, I was a project manager for an investment firm and oversaw the negotiation and creation of construction contracts, employment contracts, and financing agreements. Through this experience I learned the importance of proper drafting and execution of various types of contracts to avoid future litigation and costs. I currently utilize this experience by making sure that my clients can do what they do best – run their business, without the need to worry about legal issues which they trust I can handle on their behalf.
I hold dual Bachelor’s degrees in Urban Studies and Planning and Political Science with an emphasis in Public Law from the University of California, San Diego. I went to Santa Clara School of Law where I obtained my J.D. with a certificate in Public Interest Social Justice Law. Through law school I devoted my time to public service, working with incarcerated and at-risk youth with Fresh Lifelines for Youth. I also clerked at the Youth Law Center which works on impact litigation and public advocacy. I believe that being an attorney is about helping those in need and my interests outside of work demonstrate my commitment to the community I live in.
I am licensed to practice law by the state of California. I also practice federal trademark law before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board.
